Donna

I am a two-time breast cancer survivor. I was first diagnosed at the age of 36 and then, 15 years later, it returned in both breasts. After a double mastectomy, reconstruction, and chemotherapy, I am cancer-free. That was five years ago.

Having had breast cancer has made me appreciate all the blessings in my life so much more, especially my relationship with God, family, and friends. Even though it was difficult, the end result is that the fruit of my journey is more than I could have ever imagined. It has helped me prioritize my life and I feel like I have been given a second chance. The struggle has given me more compassion than I’ve ever known and I am inspired to help others like never before. It’s what motivates and drives me to be an advocate. My life is richly blessed!
